To meet the challenge of opening before the London 2012 Olympic Games, TfL bought together a diverse, multi-disciplinary design team.
The Approach
We were responsible for capturing the operator and passenger needs and working with the designers to ensure they were met. To be successful, the project had to ensure that these needs would be delivered from day one.
Our input varied from maintenance of the cable car equipment on the towers, to station signage & wayfinding, the station control room, evacuation processes, control system alarm design and the interior of the cable cars.
How we added value
Providing the voice of the user across a fast moving infrastructure project
Rapid engagement across disciplines to resolve design challenges
Assurance to TfL that the operator and passenger needs would be delivered
