CCD provided the ergonomics input across all aspects of the project to ensure compliance with Network Rail and Crossrail requirements. CCD has provided the interface to the client to support the approval of the design.
CCD was asked to use our wayfinding expertise to deliver a temporary signage scheme that would support passengers during the extensive construction works.
Wayfinding at this point is often overlooked and can have a negative impact on the passenger experience. The challenge was to create a phased temporary system that would take them from present day through to the opening of Crossrail, and also allow for opening and closing of platforms as construction progresses.
CCD provided ergonomics and accessibility expertise to the design and development of the ticket offices. The result is an inclusive design that meets the needs of staff and passengers alike.
